I am SOOOO excited to to share these pictures with you. Our closing date has moved up, so we are in full gear here.
Who is going to invent an app that includes smell with pictures?! This is Rose Creek. Some of the bank is filled with wild mint. As you walk along and crush the mint, the smell is just….minty.
We had the priviledge of going to the Shackelodge this weekend to drop off a load of stuff. We spent some time on the property and I took lots of pictures. We also hiked up Yellow Fork Trail.
Yellow Fork is a perfect spring hike because as you summit, you are able to see huge white peaks in the distance that you aren’t able to see in your approach. There are lots of cactus and spring flowers this time of year, which make me think it will be a very hot trail come summer.
This was the first time I was able to walk around the property without the previous owner (Let’s just call her, Winsome) with me. Here are a few of my discoveries:
Peaches, people. 2 huge peach trees. Winsome had previously told me she only had apples, but this revelation made me glad I decided to save all my canning supplies.
This is the horse pasture standing near the creek looking west toward the barn and house. It has a spring in the middle of it that we hope to use to develop a pond of sorts eventually.
Here is a picture of the little oak grove across the creek. It is hard to get to which will make it a perfect place to hang and hammock and read.
I’m was super excited the whole time I was there.
Here are the 4 sides of the house. This is the west side of the house that faces the road. Although you can’t really see it from the road because of the trees.
Hot tub house.
Basketball court.
Views from main level porch.
Views from upstairs porch.
These fellows come with the territory.
and a few more…just because…I can’t stop!
A little sneak peak in the house.
And my favs.
If you are available and want to help us move in June 5th and 6th, please let me know!!! We need all the help we can get!
Looks like a youth retreat house! So excited for you!
I love it , and the wild mint will make some great tea congrats
Are you moving to live there full time? Where is it located?
